Orissa lost to Manipur 2-3, via tie-breaker in the final of the Pem Dorjee Memorial Cup 1st All-India Women’s Football Tournament at Gangtok, Sikkim today. Penalty shoot out was applied after play in the regulation time ended in goalless draw. Sasmita Mallick and Alochana Senapati converted two spot kicks for Orissa. Sasmita Mallick and her Orissa teammate Geeta Sharma were adjudged best player and best goalkeeper of the tournament, while the prize for the highest scorer went to Manipur’s Prameshwari Devi.
